Quick Overview: The Sea Island Quilters, of Beaufort, South Carolina, have a strong community outreach program. More than 100 quilts are given each year to organizations such as Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse, Child Abuse Prevention Association and the Franciscan's Center. The guild also supports Friends of Caroline Hospice, holds quilting workshops and displays, and offers a scholarship/grant to study fiber arts. Many members of Sea Island Quilters volunteer as mentors at the PALS Senior Quilting Class in Port Royal, SC.

The 2011 Guild Quilt has been beautifully hand-sewn, hand applique'd and machine quilted by Sea Island Quilters members. (Machine quilting was done by Carol Jaynes of Carol Ann's Quilting (see Resources link here).
